I have had A COUPLE OF COILS ON THE 385'S DO THE SAME THING ONCE WARM THEY BUILD RESISTANCE THEN MALFUNCTION sorry about the caps lock I to lavy to retype it I would also check the tank vent , plug wire ,plug, and the fuel filter itself but like Brad said if it where running out of fuel it should be over revving before shutting off.

It would only over rev if was out of the cut, if it went lean in the cut it would just bog out.
