What older saw do you like to use?

Every time i broke something , my ****** old 488 it's ready to finish the **** .

This old Husky 61 gets used a bit, its got a broken clutch cover and engine shroud, it runs just perfect.

Every once in a while I'll grab the old 550EVL off the shelf and take it to the woods with me along with all my Stihl saws. It's heavy and not a fast, but that old Echo fires right up every time and cuts smooth as silk! Great old saw!

No one has mentioned my saw of choice so I will now. I run my Partner 5000's or the P-70 or the 65 or the ...... well you get the picture I guess. I would run something newer but 1984 is the height of my saw technology . Dropped and sawed up 11 cords of firewood this last winter and recent late summer. The grandson and I a few years and saws ago .

What older saw is in your lineup? Either regular or occasional use. What older saw do you like to run and why do you like it?


I cut up an ash tree with my 032aveq today, and really enjoyed it. It's a heavy old thing, but torquey.

All mine are old, most stihl run good.
