029 washer btween crank bearing and oiler worm gear

029 pump washer I am probably wrong here, but the washer i need, at least I think, lies between the worm gear and the bearing on the motor. The one pictured and described is between the clutch and the worm gear. Described on a youtube, the washer I need has a extended ridge on the inner...

029 washer btween crank bearing and oiler worm gear

I traded for a 029 with a bad worm gear. I replaced it, not knowing that it needed the washer between the worm and the crank bearing. Could someone post the part number or better yet post a site where there is a parts list and illustration of the 029? I am going to rebuild it, but I need...

How bad did I mess up this Cylinder?

How bad? The top of the cylinder looks good, but it looks like there is some damage to the edge of a transfer port. If it is starving for gas (after warm up) when you reassemble, suspect the cylinder. The integrity of the lower part of the cylinder is crucial to fuel delivery. DT

Echo cs8000 or husky xp390 or stihl 660

8000 echo I haven't read the posts. I have run 3 CS8000 echos and all are dogs for their motor size compared to stihl. The 044 will out perform it much less the 066. DT

    John Deere 66SV?

JD 66SV twin cylinder saw. Need good motor or will sell for parts I know this is an old thread, but I have to make a decision and thought someone might pick up on this. I repaired this sweet running saw yesterday(JD66SV same as CS610EVL ECHO twin cylinder), and the customer promptly went out...

    Husqvarna 55 question

55 followup I just wanted you to know that I and practically every mechanic that ever worked for me has done something similar and lost countless days of labor. It is hard to believe a cylinder which looks very good can have enough wear to prevent fuel delivery, but it happens. Glad to...

    Help with new chainsaw purchase

Buy small trim saw Hi, I have sold hundreds of small echo saws when I was in the biz. I have used almost exclusively echo saws the past 12 years (tree buiseness). In my opinion, there is no other saw in the 30cc to 35cc size with the top handle (can be used one handed) that will...

    Why not?

Hi, Please take this lightly, I have a beer or 2 in me. It seems that the "TROLL" is good about facts without passion for any line of thought. If he disturbs me or you, it is just because.............

    Why not?

Hi it seems to me that the true techs are staying out of this forum. They are on the cutting edge of the new technology. They are on the cutting edge of the new regulations. If you are out there looking, please contribute. echoman, Dennis

    3/8 semi-chisel skip....

Hi, I have used a lot of the chain here in west Texas. I buy it by the roll and use it on echo 8000 and 044 stihl (36" and 30" ). Surprisingly, there are some fairly large Cottonwood and Siberian elm trees here in the mountains (old old ranch headquarters). The semichisel skip works good...

    help with chain saw

Hi, Almost all starting/running problems are related to the fuel. Either the fuel is contaminated (like water in it), or it has sat too long and gummed the carb. Fuel containers can get condensation ( water) even though it seems improbable. The worst case is a damaged motor which is...

    John Deere saw question

Hi Tom, From the start, I was worried about the engine damage. The lower end of the engine is essentially the "fuel pump" of a 2 cycle engine. Even minor damage to the lower end will prevent fuel from entering the crankcase and then to the combustion chamber. High top end compression has...

    John Deere saw question

Oval tag The oval tag below the bar is the key to know it was made by echo. Kioritz is the parent company of echo. Some old craftsman saws, mcculloch trimmers, john deere saws/trimmers, and possibly other companies sold them. Look for the metal oval tag in pictures on ebay, craigslist...

    Bought a chainsaw, need help

mac 140 Hi Jnby83, Welcome. As you use your 140, please do not judge the rest of the saw world by it. As you get more experience a few years down the road, you might move up to a stihl, husky, or echo. The 140 is a good one to learn on if it starts and runs well. Good luck, echoman
