    Huztl MS660

There are several posts throughout this thread that identify these very parts. Read the thread and we won't have to answer the same question for the 5th or 6th time. I like to be helpful but I prefer to help those who help themselves first.

Huztl MS 440 Initial Impressions, and Build

5 out of 8 of mine for the 660 have needed the butteryfly reset. Really simple task. I also open up the carb diaphragm cover and make sure that the metering valve moves freely, I've had a couple that felt stuck till I pressed the metering lever.

I don't know, I've never had my hands on a real one of these.

    New child arrived today MS660

Don't get me wrong, I'm not making a value judgement at all. I've built several 660 clones and will very likely build more, as well as the newer 440 and 361 clones in the not too distant future.

True. I believe that the OEM rear handle assembly would have the pictogram for the heated handle switch molded into the plastic, this one does not. I'm not an expert, but in looking at the pic the only two things that I see that I believe are OEM are the recoil and the top cover with the model...

Cost is no option best string trimmer...

I'll play with the thread resurrection game, I have a 16 year old FS85 that I've run the heck out of with a heavy brush blade, I'm certain that I'm abusing it but it still keeps running. I wish that they still made them.

Chinese Stihl's? Something to think about...:)

We've tried so hard to be like them that we may just not be able to show up a 4th time no matter how desperate the situation...not to mention that if you give it another 40 years the Europeans will be a super minority in their own countries so why would we bother...

Consistency is a good baseline, we can all work with consistency even if the part is not right as long as it's consistently not right in the same way you can work through that...it's when it's inconsistent that we have real challenges. Consistently inconsistent is not a good baseline, when the...

Chinese Stihl's? Something to think about...:)

Whose? The investors who want a return or society who want's the State to support them in unprecedented ways? Or both? I much more closely associate with the investor looking for a return than I do an individual looking for a Nanny State.

Since I have both castings on hand I can tell you that there are significant differences in finish and casting quality with Huztl having better quality casting molds and Cross having better quality finish on the inside of the cylinder. The differences are not even close on either side. Huztl's...

I fretted for a month due to their moving warehouses followed by a week long holiday. Whizzed me off, big time, because there was 0 communication. I'd spent over $1000, small potatoes to them but not to me, they don't care but they still shipped the product...just like they have for every...

Did it start with that Texas Button? Yes? Then it's not too big, it works.

unfortunately the prices are higher at the new site and their parts list is much, much smaller than on the old site. When you look at the 660 they're only showing a fraction of the ~100 parts that they used to list.
