    White Oak foot bridge.

I'm in the process of installing a foot bridge using a 19ft 16in dia. white oak log over a stream. I'm looking for a wood preservative for it. I want it to have a natural finish, no stain. I'm leaning towards cedar oil. I'm having trouble finding it local. What do you all think? Do you have any...

    wood/bees

This has been the worst year for yellow jackets here. We can not even site on the front porch because of them. My wood pile is covered with them and bald faced hornets. hard to work around the wood in these conditions.:msp_angry:

    wood racks flooded

A lot of factors....... type of wood, time under water, how much air flow, ect. I would not give up on it this year. Maybe use the bottom of the stack later on in the heat season. I would be conserned about contaminants. Some stove warranties go away when this type of wood is used. My $.02

How Cheap Would Cordwood Need To Be For You To Buy Instead Of Making It?

I spend $50 a cord already cut. All i do is split it! All good to great hardwoods! Local saw mill cutting crossties. I get the tie ends. Very clean to split due to no bark. Drawback is length varies.
