Looking for a good 24'' bar for a poulan 4000, I have a little to trade and paypal. PM me if you can help me out.

Also looking for a muffler cover to poulan 3600. Interested in buying some poulan saw's too if ya got one to get rid of or part's that I'm looking for shoot me a PM.

Picked up a Poulan 3400 this week, it runs but wont hold a decent idle. I only put around ten mintues time into it so with some tinkering I bet it will run.

Its complete minus the bar and chain, but all the plastic covers are there. I'm not sure what there worth is, but I am looking for 064 parts, ( handle, brake handle, HD filter and a set of dogs ), so maybe you have some parts.

Jason.

Ok, I will post a pic or two sometime today early tommorow.

Not sure there worth, do you have a ballpark price of what a saw in that shape would be worth? We can take it to Pm's if you want, or just post here.

Jason.

Thanks Ed .. PM scent.

Yep! I saw your earlier post ... PM scent to you too ... :hmm3grin2orange:

Ted your Skil branded Poulan is a Micro series saw...........NOT a 25/XXV. Some Micros had "XXV" or "25" in their model names ("Micro XXV" and "Super 25 Micro" for example). Other than the similar names, the spark plugs, the bars/chains, and a duckbill valve or two............those two saw series (Micro and XXV/25) share NOTHING in common. The XXV/25 AF cover won't work on your Micro series saw, even though the parts look similar. The Micro saws have two screws securing the AF cover (one on each side) while the XXV/25 saws have a single centralized screw. The quickest way to tell a Micro from an XXV/25 is to look at the recoil cover. It's quite different. Here's my Craftsman 2.1A (on the right). It's the same as a Poulan 25DA................an XXV series saw. Compare that starter to your Skil/Poulan Micro. The saw on the left in my pic is a Craftsman 1.9. That's the same as a Poulan XX-D. That's a third saw family, which shares basically nothing with the Micros or the XXV's.

I can do the handle but my clutch covers are pretty shabby.

Sounds good. It has a good plastic cover now. The wife said she might as well see the cover since see has a good market for it. I may have a fair one to swap out. The took a hit that bent the front handle bad. Also it cracked the front attaching point on the rear handle. But i can deal with that. Nice looking low houred saw other wise.
Do you need any thing else stuffed into your 2095 box?
Bob

I am looking for some small stuff to finish up a couple of recient projects, I will order new stuff in a couple days if i get no hits.

2- 066 guide bar plates

roller catcher

clutch cover chain guides

and maybe a set of larger bucking spikes.

Thanks!

Aaron, the wingnut has a cover on the way for him. Your correct on your lesson though thats for sure but I forgot how many different covers they used on the micro variations over the years as well.

I just talked to the wingnut on the phone a couple hours ago. He told me you'd sent him a cover by way of the C.B. Big Homelite Express.....:cool2:
