Aubrey and myself would like to thank everyone for attending the gtg today. We hope everyone had a good time and got enough to eat. I personally would like to thank everyone that stayed and helped load out all the wood. You guys don't realize how much work you saved me.
THANKS AGAIN

Looking at all the help cleaning it up and how long it took makes us all realize the great amount of effort you put into getting the logs there and many of them set up on blocks.

We all thank you & your family for a fabulous day.

Just got home (for the second time), had a great time. Got to run some of my newer saws, good to hear the $25.00 Poulan 5200 run. The 655 is a great saw and running my P-39 is always fun. Thanks to Joe for picking up the chain for my Homie 540 and for having some big logs and good food. Of course no GTG would be complete if you didn't come home with something different than you took.

Glad I hit the Johnny house before I left or my 056 would still be in Indiana.

Good looking guy with a great looking 090. Thanks Beau for bringing it and letting me run it

Well, you got the great looking 090 part right at least!

I really had a great time today - can't thank you enough Joe! Thankfully I'm starting to get the disease under control and the only thing I went home with that I didn't show up with is a pretty good sunburn!!!

I'm pretty new at this saw stuff, and this was my first GTG. It was great to meet everyone and be able to put a face to the handle. Very good group of guys and a lot of fun to cut with!

Got home awhile ago and got all unpacked. Saw clean-up will be tomorrow.

I'd like to thank Joe and his wife for being terrific hosts for today's GTG. They went above and beyond expectations and my feeling is that everyone was happy. Many repeated thanks for hosting the event!

Lasting memories:
- Young actually has four toes, not just three. :tongue2:
- The rain that had us all a bit nervous this morning for awhile.
- WOW did Joe bring in a lot of wood!
- Running NewToStihl's 070 and 090; highlight of my day.
- Gary's car is like a mobile ant hill; saws just keep piling out of it!
- atlarge54: The guy's a HOOT!
- I want to be in LowVolt's will; in love with his truck! :msp_wub:
- I could listen to some of these guys tell stories and compare notes for HOURS.
- Watching the mother Deer Mouse search for her babies and then PTJeep moving them all to a safe haven.

Looking forward to the next one!

:givebeer:

The old school saws where cool Stihl 090 070, Mac CP125, Homie 750 Poulan 655. The Snellerized 261 was the one I was very impressed with along with my wicked work saws 562. I always love The big ported saws and the Mastermind 395 was fast with tons of grunt. All the builders on here do a fantastic job.

Big Thanks!

I huge thanks to Joe and his family and friends for putting on this GTG. This was my first GTG and I had a blast. Honestly I did not realize how much work goes into these things until we got all the wood loaded and trucked off. Joe got a lot of wood and I was glad we got it cleaned up for him.

I left with the same amount of saws I came with but it is still going to be an expensive trip. Running some of the ported saws for the first time has certainly opened my eyes. All I can say is wow. CPR's Solo was very impressive and PTJeep's 261 ran like a raped ape. Brad we will be in touch. I want gills on my 261.

Thanks to everyone that attended. It has been said before, the guys in the AS community are fantastic. You guys truly made it a great 1st gtg for me.

Great host, thanks Joe, and AS fellow members. Several impressive saws I've never seen before. For me the saw with the most WOW was the Snellerized MS261 and the saw with the most respect the Mac CP125. That beast barks and turns heads, and then produces.

The 261 and your 562 were my favorite's because they are both in a weight range I can still handle had extreme power .

My first GTG and I really enjoyed it. The host(s) were great and really put out a lot of effort to make things happen. DOUBLE THANKS. *####* DeLawter thanks for ride and putting up with my yakking. You guys from Tenn are all right, heck everybody was all right.

Wow it appears the newer saw are the beginning of an era!!! I'd like to see the 261 and 562 placed in a tree service truck and see how the guys would react. In case you've never seen any in action the newer saws do respond to modding and they do it well.

Rory let me know if it's true, I had a dream I won the door prize (385).

I'm beginning to think maybe I should squander my first SS check on a modded strato saw.

Oh yeah I'd like to add you guys that chuckle about "junk" semi-chisel you ought to see the sparks fly cutting sandy creek bottom mulberry. Heck I've never seen a stopwatch and a chainsaw used together. Now I need a stopwatch and ported saw---my momma warned me.

The pictures are great for those of us who couldn't be there

ah....... the smell of 2 stroke mix and wood chips........

thanks for sharing

wow that is a lot of cookies!
I think I need a glass of milk....

And the taste! I brought some cupcakes that my wife made and when I got them home last night I ate three of them. When I was unwrapping the fourth I looked closer at the icing and it had a fine layer of sawdust on it.

I guess I should have kept them covered.:hmm3grin2orange:
