I have an almost new 20" Poulan Pro branded Oregon replaceable sprocket nose bar (Oregon PowerMatch) that I'd trade for that 26" Windsor. D007 mount which works on Homelite XL-series, these midsize Poulans, and some Pioneer/Pioneer-Partner/Poulan Pro saws. Bought it NOS on ebay and only did a dozen or so cuts with it (in cottonwood and Douglas Fir logs at the PNW GTG). 3/8"-.058G. Takes a 70DL loop. Here it is on my Poulan 4000. It's a great bar for these Poulans. I just don't run 3/8-.058G chain.

In the pics he adjuster is at the end of it's travel because I had a 72DL loop on it (2 DL too long). Worked fine, but had no adjustment left. That loop went away with another bar in trade.

Would trade it for some folded green presidential pictures or possibly other parts (including a trade towards a good 32"-34" 3/8 pitch large Husqvarna mount sprocket nose bar) as well. No the 4000 is not for sale/trade.:D

I may have your large mount bar. Will check when I am home tonight. Not to muddy your deal but I believe mine is a Mcculloch branded bar. It came to me on a Dolmar 152 that I have since sold. I may be way off and please correct if you know which bar mount I have.

Shoot a pic or two of the tip and the areas of the rails near it. I need to see the rivet mounting pattern. There were two different Windsor rivet setups. I have about 70 (yes seventy....) of one style of 3/8 pitch Windsor tip. If your bar takes that same style and the rails are in good shape then I'm not too concerned about the condition of the tip that's on it.

Can you measure the width of the bar stud slot? I need 9mm/.355" or so for the D009 style Husqvarna mount. I thought a Dolmar 152 would have that huge 14mm slot bar mount (similar to a large Stihl mount). Maybe the studs were modified on your saw. The McCulloch bars have a 5/16"(.312"/8mm) or 3/8" (.375"/9.5mm) slot. Shoot a pic of the tail of your bar.

Yep that tip's shot. Good thing is that it's the "right" Windsor rivet pattern. I'd just replace the tip. Looks like the rails need some dressing. No big deal. What gauge is the bar, and how many drivers does it take?

How about a trade for a nice mini Mac and a poulan micro?

Kris you'd better stuff a few Franklins in the Micro's gas tank before sending it if you're wanting me to part with my 4000. Stuff a Jackson in there to cover the mini-mac disposal fee while you're at it.:givebeer:

Measured my bar and it is only 26 inch so sorry but I was way off. It is 0.63 and has been cut out from 8mm I would guess because it is 9mm and there is visible grinder evidence on it. Sorry again, Ted

I need some Stihl clutch drums... looks like I gave too many away. :(
I need drums for 026, 034/36, 044/46, 064/66. Bearings would be a bonus.
I could use at least couple of each.
I have stuff to trade, except Stihl drums. ;)

Hmmm.... Sounds like that bar has a good amount of wear. Let me think about that one.

No worries Ted. Thanks for looking into it for me.

The only xl15 gear drive I have ever seen Bill G has.

This one's on the way to Watsonr. He'll be able to restore it to a gear drive. Somebody put an NOS SXL-AO clutch cover and a spur drive .404-7 drum on it (along with a 16" bar and a loop of .404-.058G chain). I had it running well before I sent it to Randy.

I've got a 310 jug out in the shop. The piston was scored on that saw and I didn't even look to see if the jug would clean up. I'll look this weekend. Also have a 290 jug that I partially cleaned up. No pistons though.

neal,
your muffler and cover went out yesterday on 2 day priority. Maybe it will make it there by sat.???
cheers!

Ed,
I might have a P&C, let me look tonight. I know for sure I have a ms290 cylinder that will clean up if someone has the 46mm piston for it??? The piston I have, had a screwdriver stuck in the exhaust to lock the piston. The piston has a nice gouge on top and the top ring was stuck... :dizzy:

Also if someone happens to have a ms310 47mm jug I have a good piston for it!

I just looked a little bit ago and I do have a 47mm ms310 jug. The transfer on it is minimal, shouldn't take much to clean up.

Don't remember if it was here or in another thread that someone was looking for a muffler for a poulan 245. I have a cast one from a 306 that's in good shape. Can't help with one from a 245, actually need a cover and the cover screws for one myself.
