Are Chinese covers any good? I was warned about the Chinese Recoils. The saw I bought is supposed to have a good Mahle P&C. It's for keeping and porting, I'd like to find nice covers for it.
I have one on a 268 , fits and looks great . No idea how its going to hold up , just haven't had it long enough yet ?

the biggest thing about the chinese cylinder covers is fitment. most i've seen fit well but i have had to drill the screw holes a bit to make them line up with the threaded holes. other then that it don't really matter cause if something ends up hitting it with any kind of significant force there will be damage whether the cover is oem or not.

They are so inexpensive that losing one wouldn't be a big deal. I get a little obsessive when it comes to my saw "projects".

everyone wants to stay oem but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. if i really need a particular part i buy aftermarket, then when i run into a nice oem one later down the road i just swap them.

I know, I'm grateful that I found a nice recoil assy on fleabay for a fair price. That was the most important part to keep OEM. The ebay seller is looking for the rest of the parts for me, bplust is his AS handle and he's a good man.

Anybody have a somewhat clean 026 case with good bearings? Just need the case with crank and bearings, I have one here with bad bearings. Can't decide if I should just put new bearings in it, just one of them things I hate doing. Just putting out a feeler. Got tonage to trade.

Bryan will get you squared away man.

Good dealings with him, all the time.

I have an already split case, as well as a complete one up in the shop Ed.

I'll poke around this afternoon and take a look at the bearings on it.

Should be good, saw looks lightly used, with a good top end. I'll drop you some pics.

Well I won't be getting my 2101 cylinder back from the Husqvarna dealer today. They said maybe Friday to call back. Who would have thought it would take over a week to fix it with a Helicoil. Should have known lol they had such a hard time with the model number lol

I might have a 026 case you could have but I'm not sure. I will check as soon as I get home. It might be 028. Im not sure I don't know much about those saws.
