Has anyone ever bought a chainsaw in another country and brought it back??

I wanted a new Echo CS-60s. I sent Echo an email the replied back that they won't sell or ship me a saw in the US because of the garbage the US saws have to have on them, chain brake and EPA crap. So i asked to send me parts to build one. NO to that also. So it looks like a road trip with a carry on bag full of saw parts. I did manage to buy one in Canada and have it shipped here, but its not a new one...Bob
