Not chainsaw but will trade saw parts I am in need of a 5-8 hp Horizontal shaft engine with the auxiliary PTO on the side. At least that is what I call the engine with 2 shafts sticking out the side. Like I said, I have stuff to trade. It need not be in great shape but it must be at least a rebuilder......and rather have one complete.

Hey guys....

getting a bit tight on room :bang: time to move some things along

1st up... nice, clean older 041...

new fuel system, runs, idles (nice and low) but seems low on compression (130) psi and needs air filter... other than that, she's complete. I don't see any scoring from the intake side (remembering the intake and exh port are on the same side ;) ) I'm gonna go out on a limb and say needs a set of rings

I have TONS of NOS parts for this (and other stihls of this vintage...) just not a TON of time to tear into her...

Trade for 044-066 parts, J-red or Husky pro-saw stuff (esp. 262, 268/272, 288, 394/5, 385/390) or some moldy paper with pictures of dead presidents on it

Appears that someone may have pushed the piston FIRMLY up into the bore with the circlip bag halfway in the exh port... Bout a 1degree ding in the piston, and a 1-2 degree ding on the edge of the port chamfer... What a shame. Original box too

i'd use it....just don't have a need right now... :)

I got a coil here for ya, Jay. It'll rev up to about 5k, and rev limit. Idles real nice though. :yoyo:

You sir, give NOTHING but a hard TIME ;) :poke:

Pics? Might be usable, don't think I'd use the piston though.

a .010" pop up would make it disappear... as I said, MINOR issues...

I prefer to mod the piston 1st, then the cyl in most circumstances ;)

Shoot me an email... i'll get back to ya with some ;)

how's things, anyway??

Things are ok, could be better could be worse. Life gets in the way of all things fun from time to time.

I am in need of a McCulloch PM610 felling spike or "dawg", I have some to trade, small Stihl dawgs, Homelite 360 pro dawgs, Homelite C series dawgs, small Poulan countervibe dawg, and a few others I will have to dig out, these just came to mind. If you have multiples let me know as I have multiples as well and a few more 610's to build.
