Kinda looks like ACE Hardware

Do you handle any pro equipment? All that gear looks like lightweight homeowner grade...for the lady gardener. Where are those superior saws?

lololol.LAFFIN OUT LOUD:) I think I sold that gal that saw. You be correct about alot of homeowner stuff on the rack. Ya gots to remember we are in the Dc metro area, tant a whole bunch of lumberjacks around here. The line you see there was a few years ago. We got saws on the rack now from the 660 down to the new 192 now. Fairly good mixed batch of Pro and homeowner wouldn't ya say. The trimmer line goes from the little FS45 to the FS250 Pro, 3 homeowners and the rest Pro. Around here those models can handle about any landscapers needs. I'll have to get ya some new pics. That one there is the starting line we used a few years ago. Its not so lady like now but we'll still take all the ladies we can "get our hands on and around",hahahaha

Thall;

I was wondering when you were going to get around to me. I was feeling kind of left out.

You know, when I first started trying to read your posts, I thought that here was a man that was in need of medication as well as a course in remedial english. But as I began to understand your writing "style", your depth of character and witty sense of humour became apparent. I'm not comparing you to Madison and Hamilton writing the Federalist Papers my friend, but I am honestly looking forward to them now. Do you actually talk the way you write? Someday, somewhere, at some dealer thing, maybe Louisville, I'd like to hoist a few beers with you. (ya?)

Concerning the Tony saga, yes you so are right that I've lost my patience with this "dealer". If you will read all of my posts on this issue, you will see that I was trying to give him some advice on how to better handle this situation. I even sent him a long PM in which I tried to offer both advice and encouragement. When he went and started thread number 2 here, I had enough and unloaded on him. Similar to how I unloaded on someone on the hockey rink tonight after he slashed me. You mentioned "monday morning quarterbacking". Well, I'd just like to think that I'm in that minority of people who actually think before they write. You don't need to be a licsened therapist to see that Tony has "issues". I addition to his business problems, he also went on at length in another thread about his personal problems. Tony does seem to like the stage lights, doesn't he?

A little true story here. One of our product lines used to be in a nearby competitor. A couple of the reps for that company stopped in and said that they were looking to make a change, and would we be interested. It is a market leader in it's segment, so we said sure we would love to take advantage of that opportunity. So, they canceled them and signed us up. The other dealer was quite upset. One of the owners even came in our store screaming at us. When local people asked what had happened, they said that they were the victims of a conspiracy. That we screwed them. That we stole the line, as though we broke through the window in the middle of the night and took it out of the store. Some people believed this nonsense. Now what they didn't tell anyone was that they owed this company, (among others), a lot, and I mean a REAL lot of money. That they had given them somewhere around 3 dozen bad checks the previous year and that they had just filed bankruptcy. Now, I don't believe Tony's problem was money. The point of this story is that there is often way more than meets the eye in situations like this. And the people who jumped on Tony's bandwagon without knowing all of the facts are the ones that I refered to as dimwits. It's kind of a lynch mob mentality, and I think they are idiots. Plus, as I said, they kept egging him on, and these two threads are kind of commercial suicide for Tony's business. He is looking at Efco from Tilton Equipment as a saw line. The Tilton family are just absolutely wonderful people, (even if they are Red Sox fans). If they are reading this, I doubt they would want anything to do with him.

My cheap comment, is I think clear in it's meaning, and should only sting those who I am referring to. Cut4fun uses a term "stealerships", and while I will often reflexively take the dealer side, I agree with him, that they are certainly out there. The stories that customers tell us of how they have been screwed at other stores are amazing. And a good dealer need not take offence to such remarks. As, I said it's great for my business to have a couple of them close by. But we do what we do for a living. That's how we pay for food, electricity, the mortgage, etc. We all do something for a living. And for those people who feel compelled to "beat the system" by thinking price, price, price, well they're cheap. What can I say? With some things, I'm cheap. We all are in one way or another.

Well, it's almost 2:00 AM, but it's hard to get to sleep right after a game. But this is enough of this.

Been to Virginia twice, and loved it by the way. Almost as beautiful as up here in the Catskill Mountains. No, we don't kill cats. It's a dutch word for river. The Dutch got thrown out before the French.

So, how about them beers? There is a famous place a couple miles from my house that has 500 different brews if you're ever up this way.

Oh my my my you dones done it now buddy. Hows dares you looks way up here at me on my "high horse" (Sedanman are ya reading this) and tells me, the one and only, that I'm in needs of some med da cations. Oh your in for it now you , you , hold on I'm thinking here, I got it, you low life under belly of a Dolmar man you. I knows you is way up yonder in New York hiding. Out in them woods worried if I'm comings for ya aren't ya? If I had enuff horse feed to get ole Besty to go that far I'd be comings for your hide my friend. You in luck for its raining here and I'm low on da funds so I can't makes the trip to come spook out them woods and gives ya a Stihl whippin.
Looking at ya post there I don't know whatcha talkin about. That Hamilton feller never had anything on me. Hell I knew that sucker when he was still being carried on his moma's hip. Madison,ha, I use to whipped his orenry butt after school everyday. Comparing me to those heathens is a mights strong insult there my freind. You best be glad Besty is down in the barn snoozing. I never wake up my high horse after 6 pm ya know.
Do I talks likes I types, what, now thats a pruty crazy questshon. Course I do. Did ya think for a second I didn't, whats the hell da matter with ya. The nerve of you mocking my fine eng lesh and pro found man err in how I present myself with my fine and U neique typing a-bill-la-ties. I tells you rights now, I'm so con founded mad at you the heat off my temper would burn your house down in 15 seconds flat. If ya been outsides and noticed its warmed up abit in New York its not the weather buddy, that my temper covering the eastern USA. It takes a might low sucker to makes funs of a man who true lee knows how to peck these here keys in fine purrrrrfect fashion and knows how to korrectly spell. Are ya shaking in ya shoes up there? Are ya lookin out ya winder for me to come round da bend on my high horse (Sedanman are ya with me here) to trot up in ya drives ways and demands ya out in the yard for a duel. Are ya, course ya are and ya know what, knowing ya are I ainta coming tonite. I'm gonna sur prize ya when ya leats ex spects it. I'll tells ya rights now you better grow some eyes in da backs of ya hat and train em to look out for the Stihl Drivn Man perched up high on his horse. (See Sedanman I told ya it was all in fun)
Lets get real now. This thing with Tony has gone one long enough. I know Tony has some issues with Dolmar and I know as well he is venting those issues on, most likely, his only outlet, these posts on this site. I sat and watched his posts and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why he didn't say things like Dolmar is pure junk. He truely beleives in the Dolmar line and forwhat ever reason he lost his dearship he still remains loyal to the product. He came here to vent and vent he did but he never got nasty or downed the product. As the thread went on I knew sooner or later you Dolmar guys were going to nail Tony about his comments, his venting, his anger and boy did you. I really can't blame you but as I watched the posts he never seem to fight back too good and he never once said a bad word about the product. I figured what the heck so I jumped in to help him. If you guys was wondering why should I care the reason was simple. I was just filling in for a man who is down on his luck. Had it been one of you I would had done the samething for you. Hurting a mans pride when he is down can be more than some can handle. I'm sure when Tony seen you guys and me fuss and agru he felt pretty good and that was the purpose.
I for one have no issues what so ever with Dolmar, Husky or any chainsaw maker. Don't beleive me ask Elmore, him and me knew what was what going on all along with this feud on Tony's behalf. Sedanman if your reading this I'm glad you took up the coversation, for while you and me were fussing, the Tony thing was dying out. Tony kept slipping back in and though I wanted to tell him, let it go Tony, just let it go for these guys make a living selling Dolmar, they aren't going to put their paychecks on your side no matter what you say. They have families to feed and have to stand up for their own just like you. I never told Tony that mainly because I merely felt for the man so I used my certain stlye eng lesh to lighten up the whole thing and you guys made it interesting for sure. Time has come now though for all of us to end this thread. You Dolmar guys agree with me? What about it Spike, isn't it time to put it to rest?
Tony I feel for your situation, its a bummer what happened. I don't care why or how it happened but its happened. You my friend have a 5 year old son that you love and surely he loves his dad. I read your posts and it sounds like you have a awful lot of friends where you live. Thats worth more than any saw company Tony. Don't let this Dolmar mishap run your life. Its so minor compared to some things in life. There are guys in Iraq losing limbs and lives everyday Tony. I myself smetime wonder why but when I realize what they are risking and giving up my problems seem so small. Your problems are small too Tony. Think of your own problems can pull you down Tony. Think of others who are much worse off, and there are millions who are, and your feelings toward what happened with your dealership will soon fade away.
Spike don't forget, pepsi buddy. Dont make me come up there on my high horse. Get Sedanman one too, him putting up with me like he did he deserves one too.

Hey Foghorn Leghorn...I mean Thall10326. My boy...I said my boy, listen here is a post of mine that was made sticky on another forum. Slightly edited so that you may not know what kind of forum I might have been on...you probably don't need the image of several naked women writhing in a sort of primal ecstasy anyway. Copy the info and use it. I inadvertantly opened that first picture of yours and while it was opening I got grey headed. Resize those images. The second pic with all those superior saws on the shelf was sized just right. Here it is :

Resizing your images, the easy way.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
... you can resize your images by using this free and easily used program.
http://www.irfanview.com/
Once downloaded and installed, simply select file, then open your file, select image then resize, select the 640 x 480 pixels or any other size desired (hopefully smaller), click okay, then go to file and select save. I generally choose the 640 x 480 pixels option. If you want to keep your outrageously large image, be sure to copy it or rename your resized pic so that it doesn't overwrite your obscenely huge photo. Your time and attention is appreciated. Elmore

P.S. With Windows XP you can resize multiple images in one operation with Power Toys/Image Resizer. You can download Image Resizer in the Power Toys options. Download from the Microsoft page : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
With the Power Toys/Image Resizer, be sure to use the advance tab and choose not to make copies or you'll have too many images in your folders.

Yes I COMPLETELY agree that it's time to end the " Dolmar insurection of '06 ". I'm not sure that I could even come up with anything more on this, and I'm not exactly the type who's ever at a loss for words.

I did try to help Tony early on with some useful advice that he should have given some consideration to. With each post, he was digging himself deeper and deeper in a hole. Then instead of looking for a ladder or a rope to get out, he went and found himself a bigger shovel. As I said many times, it was the wrong strategy, and will probably have a lasting effect on him.

I'm not sure I understand where there is a distinction that can be made between bashing the company vs. loving the product. Ripping Dolmar and calling for a boycott is not made any less offensive to the company because you believe the product you are boycotting is well made.

Thall, good buddy, you did a masterful job of lightening this up and it was just the right time to take the edge off. All of that beaver in the woodshed stuff made me lose it. Just don't ever hit the spell check button on one of your posts or you will surely void the warranty on your new Dell!

THE END

Hey Ben, I don't like liars and cheats either. In the case of your Dolmar saw you must have got a lemon. Overall, with the exception of that 7900, Dolmar seems to have a good product but those Dolmar Reps and dealers that you dealt with have put an excalmation point on the end of you and Dolmar's relationship. What ever happened to the concept of "Customer Satisfaction"?

Elmore, my saw was not a fluke as others on this board and others sold by my former Dolmar dealer had the same issues.... Nothing has been done by Dolmar to correct this issue other than to fit a new hose of a differant material which does nothing.
I might also add the when used on a professional basis by loggers the reliability of the 7900 has been less than stellar according to my dealer who I trust and has proven himself to be a straight shooter.
