I had this same issue and did everything you did ( new 406 carb, fuel lines filters, etc) except the new ignition coil, did the new coil solve this problem?

    Echo770 Issues

Have a 3 year old Echo 77o that now will not run. Starting having issues with not revving up then not starting. Pulled and slotted the mixture screws but still can't get it to run. Filter and line are clean. Thinking about a new carb? The new carb is a WYK 406 replacing the 345. I can get it for...

    Electric fence question

I set up my garden with the 4 foot high perimeter fence being grounded well (with a 8 foot ground rod). On the top of each of the posts I have 3 hot wires spaced 4 inches apart. It's fun watching the critters climb to the top and grab the hot wire for a 'flight'.

    MS362 Air Filter

I seem to remember reading that the air filter on these earlier models had been revised from a 'plastic' to a 'metal' component design? I've checked mine for the past year after each use and see no leakage of fine dust to the carb and I don't use any silcone grease as a sealant either. But just...

    Gas Tank Vent Question?

Would a gas tank vent relieve all internal pressure after the saw has been sitting for a day or two in a cool storage? I have a 460 that seems to hold a bit of pressure??? When opening the flippy cap one can hear a hiss/pressure release. Is this normal or do I need to replace the vent? Seems if...

    Ms460 tuning

My MS460 had labeled 1/4 turn on the "L" and 3/4 turn on the "H". I did a muff mod and the new settings were 1/2 turn on "L" and 1-1/8 turn on "H". 2700 rpm at idle.

    Stihl MS460 / Walbro K10-HD Rebuild Question ??

I am rebuilding the carb on a Stihl 460. Taking apart the old one, I find there is just one gasket next to the cover on the diaphram side. The new kit came with two, a rubber one and a composite one? Wondering why two? Both are the same profile. Do I use the rubber one or the composite one? Or...

    MS362 Carb Questions

Just bought a new Stihl MS362, it starts and runs great. I was looking at the carb adjustments and found I could not adjust the low side. There is no red limiter there nor any slot for a screw driver???? (I know sounds impossible.) I did pull the high limiter off with the drywall screw method...

Stihl 362R Wrap handle and more

362R conversion back to 362? I'm considering the purchase of a 362R for a bit better control, when cutting on some of my steep hills. However, I would still have a use for a flush cut version and would like to change out the handle for those times..Question, what are the p/n's and/or parts...
