I don't see how the attached review supports your point. Please clarify.
The Husky was rated higher by consumers. I have read similar ratings by consumers and the Husqvarna almost always tops the Stihl in consumer rankings.:greenchainsaw:

So all that tells me is that more people using chainsaws and the internet like Husky, and by a whopping 1% in an entirely unscientific study. I'm more interested in a relevant subset of consumers anyway. The subset that uses the saws professionaly.

Sedanman how ya doing today my freind, sold any saws yet today, I have, hehe. I see from ya post here ya don't like getting ya hiny spanked but that being the case ya shouldn't pick for it. It is good however to see you can still type with ya foot stuck in ya mouth. You are multi-talented I must admit. Notice you haven't argued one word I said about your beloved Dolmar and the reason we know is simple, its all fact. Your almost right about the weed wackers though but not quite. Fact was Sthil did whore out the engine on their very "cheapest" models because they couldn't figure out how to make low grade junk like we know who. Didn't last long though. They wised up about that whoring around, something your favorites are still doing. To call customers MORONS pretty well shows where your brain is, under ya waist in case ya can't figure that one out. I see ya done gone back in time to the very beginning of the modern chain saw trying to win this little argument. Of course you forgot to mention the 600 plus patents Stihl has under his belt pertaining to the modern chain saw, ya forgot to spit that out on purpose of course but we forgive ya and will do it for ya. As for Dolmar inventing the first gas powered saw once again you show your ignorance. I betcha think Ford made the first car too. Ya need to go educate ya self some more and get ya facts striaght. You are correct however, Stihl did not make the first gas powered saw and neither did Dolmar. As for the electric saw your having a beef with tell the millions of home builders and contractors out there using them today that they have no use. See ya just aren't thinking my friend. By the way we're No.1 in those too. I see too you like to holler my 7900 is faster than my 064. To that I say really, does the tree care, haha. Reminds me of childs play, my go cart is faster than your go cart. You have said a few words right like Brand Reconition but ya still haven't admitted to how did the Stihl brand got so big. Come on Sedanman you can tell the folks, you know the real reason. Go ahead and spit it out and releive ya self of the agony your withholding from everyone. And if by chance you really don't know then shoot you are just another boy playing in the woods prentending to be a macho saw man. Go ahead and cut your little holes in ya muffler and do all ya little adjustments if it makes ya feel good. We rather sell saws than do childs play. You get together with all ya friends and go outhere and race ya saws, are ya gonna be on TV anytime soon doing that? Maybe one day you'll be in Stihl Timbersports. As for the cars yep there you are correct but we weren't talking about cars now were we? I know in desparation you have to bring up anything ya can to stay afloat in the conversation but I also read where you said you lost ya butt in the car business in one year. Kinda makes me wonder why you would bring up your own failings to make your point. See Sedanman you walked up to something ya can't handle here and the best thing for you to do is just cool down so I won't have to keep rubbing salt in your wounds. Welp I'm gonna go out here and great some of those MORONS you talk about. To you they may be Morons but to us we like to call them our paycheck. You should think about that and get in the real world. By the way have ya decided on hooking up the rope, my horse is waiting to drag you along. Bet your wishing you hadn't been such a smart a-- now, hahahaha.
No one's ever accused you of being smart, eh Tall? :monkey:

I think I would rather have the craftsman.

Instead of all those tricky falling cuts, just cut straight through then you can really be surprised where they fall.

Oh btw, did you have to stand on a ladder when you made the falling cuts or is it to much work to bend over and cut the rest of the tree? Maybe your clown shoes got in the way and you couldn't cut down any lower.
Perhaps you were practicing tree take downs while on hooks and you figure four feet off the ground was a good place to start. My question is did you bring in the crane to lift the butt when you did the stumping cut?:monkey:

Sorry my sarcasm resevoir was overflowing and I had to bleed some off.

Hey Buck or are you Lucky. What kind of babble was this? You don't make much sense. I don't climb ladders very often. Only when needed and certainly not to work on a tree. I did cut the stump at ground level.
You mentioned a ladder in your post and you mention that you were born on a ladder in your profile. Do you work with ladders a lot? Are you an orchardist? They work trees with ladders. What kind of trees do you work with? Fruit? That makes me wonder about your interesting user name too. Does it pertain to your desires? Are you into divient activities? hmm, makes one wonder. What contributions do you add to this site with stupid ass posts like above? Yeah...I think you really are lucky...lucky if I don't ever meet you, you useless lucky Mucker Futter.

Guys, stop it, this makes the one-handing, spurs all the time arguements look pretty tame. I find all the hate hard to believe, I just use saws, I don't worship the name, Husky and Stihl, I use them both. Especially seeing as how some of the participants are not even tree guys or loggers, just weekend warriors, lame.

Yeah, there's a lot of hate here. I know why I posted my above post and believe I am just in countering that individuals lame and unwarranted attack on me. Others I am not sure about...why is treeco attacking Tony?

Now back to the saws...the reason that my Dolmar 111i is blue and says Makita on it is because Makita owns Dolmar. I think it is a simple marketing strategy to sell more of these fine saws. I'm serious about the quality inherent with this saw. At one point I was not sure whether my oiler was operating effectively but have come to the conclusion that it was simply my perception. I haven't used any other Dolmars, whether blue or orange, but I can tell you that this one of mine will start, in most cases, with a single pull at idle position and it has plenty of torque. I think that Dolmar saws are an excellent, German crafted, product...they just have a marketing problem. I also have spoken with Tony M and can say that he is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. If I were looking for another saw or other product he would be at the top of a list of potential contacts. Most local power equipment dealers that I have spoken to of late can not even compare. They don't seem to understand the concept of "customer satisfaction".

Hey Elmore how ya doing. There's no hate in this ole cats fur. I know ya think I was fussing at ya saw last nite but I got no bones with ya saw. All that started over ole Sedeman slipping in a few smirks on me so I had to smack his behind a tad with a few facts. I got no hate whatsoever toward Sedeman or anyone else on this site. I sorta like the guy for messing with me because when he did the entertainment began, you got to admit. Its all in good fun conversation, nothing but good fun. I know he doesn't care what I say no more than I pay any mind to him. He's probly sitting back laffing at me as much as I'm laffing at him so there is no hate Elmore. You know its fun to get down and roll around in the mud from time to time and thats all its been. Sedeman can sit at my table anytime and we'll fuss and yak and have a good ole time just like we do here so trust me Elmore there's no hate involved at all. The main reason my posts are so long is because I just got a new 20inch Dell flat panel and this thing looks huge. I can peck for hours and never fill the page. By Joe Sedenam if ya reading this I bets my puter screen is bigger than yours, haha. See Elmore its all in fun and no hate what so ever on my end. Sedeman is laffing just as much as me I'm sure and thats good. Its all good fun.

And did you get time to get your haircut??

Scott

Hey there Ole Scott, how ya doing. Yep I finally got my haircut yesterday. That thread we were having a blast on was really holding me up , dang your hide. I see from ya post there your pickin for a whippin but guess what I'm in a lovin mood tonite and I'm gonna let ya slide, your lucky day. I know whats up ya sleeve but I'm in such a lovin mood I'm not gonna take your bait. I will say its good to see you have enjoyed the posts as much as I have. I should charge you for the entertainment, haha. Ya sold some saws today, cool, sold a few myself. You got in some trades too, thats good. What kind of condition is that old "25" year old 028 in. Is it still running or wore out?

Thall, you might want to try a writing tool called paragraphs. Your rants might or might not include something worth reading, but the run-on paragraphs :dizzy: are painful to read.

PS: Elmore, that link, taken in context, is funny.

Well hello Chris. Glad ya like the entertainment. You are correct about the paragraphing but your wrong about the ranting. I'm not ranting at all, just Sedanman and me having some fun. Tell ya what Chris I'll do the writing and you correct my eg lish and para grafinn, hows that.

Those barbers work on Sunday in Virginia? Mike

Around Washington DC everybody works on Sunday Mike, except them low life crooks down on Penn. Ave. They spend thier Sundays on the TV talk shows.

Hillbilly Haircut

I guess you're right Thall...I shouldn't get all worked up about some babble from that lineman up there in the Northern Kingdom or what ever they call it. It was uncalled for though. VEC is probably working them hard maintaining power throughout the heavy snows up there...he might be a good Christian fella...a member of the Ladder Day Saints...heh heh.
In your case, you weren't bothering me at all. A saw is a saw and I'm sure you have had your hands on some of the best. I will bet there aren't too many of your Stihls that will consistently start up cold on one or two pulls though. Your Virginny haircut looks good by the way...got a pic of it right here. Those web-cams are amazing.

Thall8675309, Your major malfunction is that you are blind to reality. Stihl is currently # 1 This is not a position they can hold indefinately, as future generations of the family start to take over one of them will likely decide that big box stores are the way to go, or make some other blunder, never say never. I said this before ALL EMPIRES TOPPLE. I am glad I amuse you. I think I am further under your skin than you are mine. You have yet to ruffle my feathers friend..

Well hello Sed, how ya doing this fine eveing. Nice to see your coming around to find out thats all this is, amusing. Quite obvious you don't care about what I say and I don't care what you say. I find it hard you ignore the facts though. Currently No.1, come on Sed, 36 years in a row, give it up. As for all Empire's Topple I never once said Stihl was a empire. They are just a company, thats all. Ruffle ya feathers, I never intended to ruffle your feathers. I know dayumm well you been sitting there laffing at me just as much as I've been laffing at you. I told Elmore the only reason my posts are so long is because of this new 20inch Dell flat panel I just bought. Its big I can peck on these keys forever and still can't seem to fill up a page. So Sed I'm glad to see your a good sport and its been a pleasure to use my new Dell on ya. I'll keep using it on ya too if ya wanna keep scratching the dirt with me. If not then heck we'll have to find another subject to fuss about. Name me one Sed and lets go at it. As for getting under my skin, no way. I'm enjoying it as much as you you sucker, hahah

Laffffffffffffffffffffffing my a-- off. Now thats a real hair cutting machine. Elmore I'm glad you was smart enough to see what was going on with Sed and me, we just shooting the bull and smirking each other and having fun. Sed is ok with me. He like's slinging mud as much as me, he just don't type as much to make his point.
You are right about the saws. I've played with many. I don't have any bones to pick with any manufacture. The thread got started over Tony and I sorta felt for the poor man, thats all. I got 16 Stihls out in the shed and i've yet to ever have a problem with any of them. They start cold or hot. I'm sure most all brands do. I'll tell ya one thing though, I'm not gonna let you give me a haircut for sure, hahahaah. Thats a great picture:) :)

Nope can't say anyone has, (lie) are you, if so thankya, thankya very much...

These last few pages of Stihl being #1 should be translated into German. This speech should be given in Nurmberg, you could probably get quite a following. It worked before.
