Husky 50, broken braking band. No longer available. Cant use at work without chain brake. Husky....you suck.
Is this the correct use of this thread......:angry:View attachment 1054727
Have you tried looking for a similar part by Poulan or Craftsman? I have an old Poulan that needed a chain brake spring, and I got a Husky part for it. Works great after a small modification.

First purchase of 2023. I think the Mac is a "Mac33". Cool features are the points are in a box on the side of the saw, not under the flywheel, there is a thumb pump to prime the carb and 1/2" chain. I put a shot of mix in the carb and it fired on the first pull.

The blue saw is an early Homelite XL12. The pull cord was hanging out so I couldn't test compression. Pulled the recoil off and there was so much crud in there it couldn't recoil. So I just grabbed the recoil off another saw and it pulled over. Put s shot of mix in the carb and 4-5 pulls it started. So both saws will start on prime.

Total for both saws was $29.

I don't know why lately I'll copy and paste pics like I have for years. When I paste the BBCode it will paste the big long number, but when I hit post, it changes it to that little short link?

Scored an 038 magII today…$220
well, hopefully it is all original 🤪
I’ll find out once I start taking things apart. The clutch cover is 1125 so that’s not original. Dual port muffler so that’s a good sign. Can’t easily find the pt# on the cyl to see if it is a 52mm or not So will have to pull it.
compression is 175 so that’s all good.
looks clean inside via exh and plug hole other than some carbon.
carb checks out…needs a rebuild.
it fires and runs for a bit then dies so think a carb issue.
should be a fun project

Now I need to research this thing :p
Got manuals from Ray already

1125 on clutch cover is normal they fit alot of saws

Sorry, I just drooled on myself!

You keeping it or selling it?
I've been offered real good money for it. So having a hard time deciding.
But not really needed here since I just use a hacked up ported echo 490 for trim saw. But one will go for sure.

After pricing a new 550xpg retail and dealer cost. It wont be cheap.

Ran across it thing today have the guy 7 bucks for it... been painted on and pretty sure it needs a rebuild but can anyone give me any details about ut... is it worth the rebuild it's def old...

Pioneer 1100 “Holiday” they were originally white. Looks like what you have there. Missing a lot of parts and not worth much even in complete and running condition, unless you’re just wanting to do a project. I’ve seen them in decent shape and complete in the $50 range.

Well darn lol how do they run? I know it's pretty heavy tbh I have alot of the parts that are missing from what I read it came out in the 60s thsts pretty old for a saw I guess... I bet this Thang is loud as heck

2009. That’s as clean as it will ever be while I own it.
Just not a saw detailer.
No rash from a throwing chain ever it appears. Not even chain catcher.
:o

Now to go test it out some more and get it looking like a saw supposed to look like.

I generally don't conflate women and inanimate objects, but that thing is downright sexy.

If the deal/offer falls through. I'd reach deep into some emergency money or trade a saw for it.

That's my dream saw for work.
