Now get this = Stihl had a pro chain whereas my 590 had the factory semi-safety chain

Do you have another Mtron to take a fuel Solenoid off and try? Call the dealer and get one before you rip that apart for nothing.

Tree est cancelled due to icing on roads.
i may have slightly advanced the timing on the 590 - but still, how can a 67cc be undone by a 59cc???
Once i get the 400c back running - i will test it against my 620p since my 590 was sold.

Interesting.Try the solenoid before you rip that saw down.

i am purchasing a new solenoid valve
Just might fix it. Fastest and easiest way to go at this point.
I just gotta ask, if you don't have any time on the saw, warranty should be in effect here, no?

Dang that sucks.
Thats how it usually works. My Wolf Ridge splitter had a pump fail 2 weeks out of warranty but they sent me one anyway.
My years up this April on the 400, but so far so good.

Home use - firewood - or commercial?
Fire wood and light commercial. One of my friends is a logger and I help him out from time to time. The dealer I got the saw from knows both of us, and knows I help him out occasionally. They've been pretty reasonable with me as I'm not hard on my equipment but when push comes to shove I doubt they would let me slide for a major repair.
put a white solenoid on it then recalibrate
x`and an orange filter 0000 120 5104 is the right # for the solenoid the black one will give you problems down the road

yes it is, hell a lot of Stihl dealers dont know the difference. I was working on saws when I was a kid long before i went to work for a Stihl dealer
