he said a tree. Got pretzeled but good! I will take the handle off and see if I can at least turn it over. I would like to think the handle took the brunt of the hit.

No request to fix the bar (thank the saw gods ) it is a pre-mtronic 441

Indeed! The saw will need a new tank/handle assy, handlebar and a 1/2 case chain oil hole is bent. No fins broken on the cylinder and the recoil is working ok. BUT once I removed the bar, I set it on the floor, 3 pulls burp, then fast idle 2 pulls and its a runner. I will wait for a donor saw or just part it out. will see.

I've seen worse! My logger buddy was a great customer, about once or twice a season a saw would get crushed by his dozer, not much useable after that.
