Cool tool Rick, you say your running it at .014"? I "was" running my new old 044 at .014" squish but I ran her a little too lean and :censored: up my piston, oh well won't run it at 20,000+rpm (half choke), OOOOPPS!
I'm a little confused here. Why are you even messing with porting if you are worried about running a saw over stock RPMs or overstressing the bottom end? Isn't that what you port as saw for? For more RPMs and more torque?

I'm trying real hard here to be PC. Not my natural style.
I asked him if he was gona go for more rpms and he said he thinks it feels strong. :dunno:
Yeah Brad I actually had my new 044 running too fast a couple days ago, way too fast.
A good 460 work saw will turn 15K without raising the exhaust.
