whats the most useful bar and chain combo for 346xp

Probably gonna get put in front of the firing squad for this. YES I TRIED THE SEARCH ENGINES FIRST but it hasn't been working on my end for about a week. What do y'all think is the best bar and chain combo for the 346xp in stock form as of now. Mostly under 20" as I have my 372xp up and screaming again. Let me know boys

I like 16" or 18" bar .325 or 3/8 chain. I use both and like 3/8 a little better.

Ok that's a start. I was told or read on here that a stock 346xp wouldn't pull 3/8 very well. Kinda thought that was BS myself.

I like a 28" bar on mine so I never have to bend over to cut the small stuff it is for.
.325 or 3/8...It don't really matter. I run 3/8 on the long bar.

Handles a little better with 16 or 18" bar, but if it's not a heavy solid bar, 20" is OK.

16" 3/8 for me. 3/8 way better for bucking cuts. .325 for limbing IMO.

Now this if you are stock NE. If a OE stock stay .325.

I have a 20" .325NK that works pretty well and also 18" .325 that I run on my stock 346XP. I like the 18" better overall.

I use. 325 /"18 or 3/8 "16.

I have tried 3/8" 18, but it is a bit heavy nose, I like "18 in .325 better.

I have a 16" 325 on my ported 346, would a 3/8 be better, while we're on the subject, don't mean to hijack the thread.

Thanks for clarifying jon1212. Mines a NE. I'm gonna do some work on it in the future. But love it stock as I received it. The 325 20" just seems a little nose heavy to me. That's why I started this thread to see what y'all are running.
