For a guy that spends a lot on 395s and supposedly cuts a lot of wood with them, you sure spend a lot of time on here flapping your gums and getting banned every month.

I doubt they have a troll translator
I’ve only had limited time on a 500, no time on a real 395 but plenty on my clone 395, which I love for big wood. Never compared directly, but the clone 395 is considerably stronger than my old 660, which was a hair stronger than the 500. 395 better be way more powerful if it’s 15cc biggerHave you ran each to actually compare power and performance?
I have ran many 066/660 saws and my 395 ported by a monkey is stronger. I never ran it against my ported 660 as my son did it in with a skidder.I’ve only had limited time on a 500, no time on a real 395 but plenty on my clone 395, which I love for big wood. State/government bids go through regional/corporate for pricing from what I've been told. The local dealer doesn't make much if anything on the sales end of it. They get the service work out of it, and typically whatever ancillary purchases, ie fluids, filters, attachments etc. Kinda a weird system.I read in the local newspaper how the towns make essentially Stihl and Husky submit bids for their desires. Has not been lately but folks come on here bragging about what a great deal they got since they bought through their church that gets non profit pricing. There is another guy that seems to stay away from the chainsaw section lately that always told of getting 10% off and using a new credit card promotion to get another $200. I would deduce they can go 10% less plus the 2.9% credit card fees maybe even more fees than that for the best "cash back" cards.
I am betting not much of a deal since to the majority of Deere dealers Stihl is not much of an impact on profit. I know how little Stihl dealers used to make on saws and I doubt it has changed much.I care and also wonder a few things.
What sort of a deal could I get on say 7 or 8 of the 500i models if I went to a large volume John Deere place.
The 500i has an inboard clutch and side chain adjuster. If you had enough crew to have 5 in use and a few as back up the 500i would be a better choice or not?
Decades... At keeping your saws squeaky clean?... you slackerBoy you learn fast, it took me decades to get good!
It's better when someone who thinks they're smart is also Russian.
Keep up bossWTF?
PHO as well could be possible. GentlemanHA! Did you buy all your 395s from your "local dealer" in Illinois? Or was it from another site with his 20% off sales?
I have an 066 that eats 395s for breakfast. Have no 395 run time just 394s. The 660 milling saw eats everything for breakfast.I’ve only had limited time on a 500, no time on a real 395 but plenty on my clone 395, which I love for big wood. Ported? IME, 395 kills a 066/660 stock for stock, not accounting the further power advantage a real 395 has over a cloneI have an 066 that eats 395s for breakfast. Have no 395 run time just 394s. The 660 milling saw eats everything for breakfast.
Well since we do not have any "local" servicing dealers on my part of Illinois the answer is no. Now if you would have asked about Iowa I would have said no, not those but other saws in the past. I also support him with purchases of mowers, parts, bars, chains, and supplies. Do you have any other questions.?HA! Did you buy all your 395s from your "local dealer" in Illinois? I was comparing ported power heads. The 660 stomps on everything. The 394 stroker may take it's lunch money. We are discussing 92-3cc saws, yes?Ported? IME, 395 kills a 066/660 stock for stock, not accounting the further power advantage a real 395 has over a clone
